Hi, I’m Lisa Van Meir.
I am an independently licensed professional counselor in New Mexico. I am a co-owner of a private practice in Albuquerque and am very passionate about my role in providing mental health services for my community.
Marigold Professional Services offers professional supervision and continuing education courses for clinicians and allows me to expand my passion to reach fellow clinicians and students. I am grateful to continue reaching like-minded professionals and share my knowledge with those clinicians wishing to expand their practice.
A little more about me-I was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM and plan to stay in the Land of Enchantment for many more years! I am happily married to my wife of 6 years, have a rambunctious toddler and 3 spoiled pups. I am a proud member of the Albuquerque Fire Fighter family and LGBTQ+ community. When I choose to set time for myself, I enjoy yoga, dying my hair fun colors, anything True Crime and am expanding my novice piano skills! Oh, and you may catch me at Disney World….often! 31

My Approach
It all begins with an idea and a desire to grow. I attempt to find balance between where you are comfortable and where you can successfully manage the uncomfortable. My goals are your goals and I will help push you towards the professional realm you are hoping to achieve. My approach is genuine and real. I like to say that the way I speak to my clients, my colleagues and my students is exactly the same way that I interact with my family and friends. I use humor and positive energy to build a safe and comfortable environment. We were all students once, learning something from the ground up.
