Making the decision to start therapy can be daunting, exhausting, anxiety provoking but also enlightening, positive and life changing! My therapeutic approach includes having a mindful, non-judgmental stance with every individual that I work with. I am a knowledgeable, empathetic and compassionate therapist willing to work along side you on your life journey. I incorporate many aspects into my therapeutic approach including humor, honesty and a laid back, comfortable energy. I feel most confident with clients exploring trauma, relationships and attachment and understanding emotional and behavioral experiences.
I have been practicing both DBT and EMDR for ten years in many different settings and enjoy working with clients who are ready to dive into deeper parts of themselves. I incorporate somatic and body awareness to guide you through understanding how your own life journey shows up in your body and choices.
I thrive working together with willing clients who are open to gentle confrontation and support seeing outside their normal perspectives. We all get stuck and I am here to push you when needed, support you in slowing down when needed, and to metaphorically hold your hand when you're ready to jump. Are we going to sink, swim or float?
